I am fascinated by all things seeds- the way that varietals are created, the way that heirlooms are saved, and the interaction between  seed, data, and the food system.

I have a deep love for stacking functions in agriculture, and I have been watching the permaculture movement mature and grow in the US and Canada.

commoditization

Food is getting faster and food is getting more commodified.  Simultaneously, food is getting slower and more diverse.  
Food systems are literally polarizing around the role of culture in calories.
